The uMngeni-uThukela Water Bursary Programme for 2025 invites applications from South African students aiming to pursue studies in various engineering and science fields, including Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Hydrology, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, and Microbiology. Established in 1974, uMngeni-uThukela Water services a vast area within KwaZulu-Natal and is the second-largest water board in South Africa. The bursary covers crucial educational expenses such as registration and tuition fees, accommodation, meals, prescribed books, and stationery. Interested applicants must meet several eligibility criteria, including citizenship, academic performance, and enrollment in an accredited tertiary institution in South Africa. A completed application form, along with necessary documents, should be submitted via email by the specified deadline of June 13, 2025. Successful candidates will also need to enter a bursary contract with uMngeni-uThukela Water, fostering the development of future professionals in the engineering and science sectors.

Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must have completed Matric
- Must be studying full-time towards a qualification in one of the fields listed
- Must have completed your 1st year of study
- Must be in your 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of study
- Must be studying at a recognized and accredited tertiary institution in South Africa
- Must have a strong academic record
- Must be in financial need and unable to afford your studies
- Must be willing to enter into a bursary contract with Umgeni Water
- Preference will be given to students who permanently reside in KwaZulu-Natal Province
