Eligibility Requirements

  • South African citizen
  • Completed Matric
  • Studying full-time towards one of the qualifications listed
  • Entering 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of study in 2026
  • Studying at a Gauteng-based university (UP, UJ, NMU, WITS)
  • Good academic progress in current year of study
  • Passed all registered courses
  • Not in receipt of any other bursary funding for 2026
  • Black (per B-BBEE legislation)
  • Preference for Black female students, Black students under 35, and Black students living with disabilities
