Provided by:South African Road Federation (SARF)
Description
The SARF Bursary 2026 offers students the opportunity to receive financial assistance for their education in the field of road transport. The South African Road Federation (SARF), established in 1950, promotes the road industry in South Africa by facilitating communication and sharing expert advice across various sectors. The bursary program specifically supports disciplines such as Road Safety Engineering, Road Transport Economics, Road Transport Management, and several areas of Road Engineering including Traffic and Bridge Engineering, among others. Bursary recipients will benefit from partial funding to help cover study-related expenses determined by individual financial needs. To apply, students must meet certain eligibility criteria including being a South African resident or from a SADC country, studying at an accredited tertiary institution, and being endorsed by their institution's academic authority. The bursary requires recipients to engage actively by presenting research subjects to local SARF branches and submitting progress reports bi-annually. Applications can be submitted in person or via post by the deadline of 31 August 2025, alongside necessary documentation such as certified copies of identity documents, academic records, and proof of qualification. It is a fantastic opportunity for those aspiring to contribute to South Africa's road transport sector.
