The Rio Tinto / Richards Bay Minerals (RBM) Bursary Programme for 2025 invites South African students to apply for funding towards their studies in various fields, including Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Business. Established in 1976, RBM operates in KwaZulu-Natal and is owned by Rio Tinto Group, a leader in mineral production. This bursary aims to support high-achieving students passionate about contributing to South Africa's future. Eligibility Requirements
- You must be a South African citizen
- You must have completed Matric with good results
- You must be studying or intend on studying full-time, towards a qualification in one of the fields listed above
- You must be studying or have been accepted to study at a recognised and accredited tertiary institution in South Africa
- You must be in financial need and qualify for financial assistance, in line with NSFAS guidelines
- Students with disabilities are encouraged to apply

- Parents or guardians proof of income (latest payslips if employed/ affidavit if unemployed/ proof of pension or social grant if applicable)
