Pharmaceutical Society of South Africa (PSSA) Bursaries 2026
Provided by:Pharmaceutical Society of South Africa (PSSA)
Description
The Pharmaceutical Society of South Africa (PSSA) offers bursaries for the 2026 academic year, focusing on pharmacy-related studies at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The bursary program aims to support students in their academic pursuits and is specifically aimed at individuals pursuing BPharm degrees in their second year or beyond for undergraduate funding, and Masters or Doctoral qualifications in pharmacy for postgraduate funding. Eligibility criteria for the undergraduate bursary require applicants to be South African citizens who have completed Matric, are studying full-time at recognized institutions, and are members of the PSSA. They must also demonstrate financial need and a strong academic record with a 60% average. For the postgraduate bursary, criteria include having completed an undergraduate program and maintaining full-time status in postgraduate studies. The bursary awards are granted annually, requiring renewal applications each year, and decisions are based on financial need and academic potential. The final decision process involves scrutiny and shortlisted candidates will be notified directly. Application submissions must include specific documentation, which must be certified, and the closing date for undergraduate applications is October 11, 2025. Overall, this initiative by the PSSA aims to bolster the pharmacy profession by ensuring financial accessibility for deserving students.
