Description

The Paper Manufacturers Association of South Africa (PAMSA) is offering bursaries for students pursuing a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering for the 2025-2026 academic year. PAMSA, representing over 90% of South Africa’s paper, packaging, and tissue manufacturers, is committed to promoting paper as a renewable resource. The bursary aims to support students from selected universities, providing R320,000 over two years, covering tuition and research expenses. Recipients will engage in hands-on research addressing real-world challenges in the pulp and paper industry. Eligibility requirements include South African citizenship, being in the final year of relevant undergraduate studies or already graduated, and having a strong academic record with an average of at least 60%. Applications must be submitted online and include essential documentation, and there is a strong emphasis on following the deadlines, with a closing date of June 6, 2025. Late applications are accepted until June 27, 2025, but preferential treatment is given to those applying by the official closing date. For any queries, prospective applicants can contact Julie Borland directly.
