Eligibility Requirements

  • Commitment to qualifying as an actuary and working for Old Mutual after graduation
  • South African citizen
  • Completed Matric or currently in Matric
  • Studying or intend to study towards an undergraduate Actuarial Science qualification
  • Studying or have applied to one of the specified tertiary institutes
  • Minimum 80% result for Mathematics in Matric
  • Minimum 60% for English HL or 70% for English FAL in Matric
  • Minimum 70% for all other subjects in Matric
  • Preference for students from under-represented groups including candidates with disabilities
  • Preference for students from previously disadvantaged backgrounds or those demonstrating financial need
