Description
Old Mutual invites applications for their Actuarial Bursary Programme for the 2026 academic year. The bursary supports Actuarial Science studies at various prestigious universities in South Africa, aimed at encouraging students who excel in mathematics and are eager to engage in a challenging career. The bursary covers essential expenses including tuition, study materials, meals, accommodation, and flights home if necessary. Additionally, recipients benefit from guaranteed employment after graduation, mentorship by experienced actuaries, and participation in an in-house rotation program that enhances professional development. To qualify, applicants must be South African citizens who have completed or are completing their Matric with excellent results, particularly in Mathematics and English. There is a strong preference for candidates from under-represented groups and those demonstrating financial need. Applications are strictly through the Old Mutual careers page and must include various supporting documents to ensure processing. The closing date for applications is September 30, 2025, making it crucial for interested students to apply well in advance.
