Description
The Mineral Processing Guru (MPG) Bursary is an annual opportunity offered to exceptional students from the Emakhazeni Municipality in Mpumalanga, aimed at supporting those pursuing studies in various fields of Engineering, specifically focusing on Chemistry, Industrialism, Metallurgy, and Mechanism. The bursary is provided by MPG, a Level 1, 100% Black-owned mineral processing company, established in 2017 to address the pressing need for skilled professionals in the mining and mineral processing industry. MPG’s core mission is to assist students who face financial challenges in achieving their educational goals and thus contribute to alleviating the skills shortage within South Africa’s mineral processing sector. The bursary funds will be disbursed directly to the students' tertiary institutions, ensuring that the financial aid goes directly towards educational expenses. Applicants are required to meet specific eligibility criteria, including being a South African citizen, residing in the Emakhazeni municipality, having completed their Matric, and demonstrating academic excellence alongside financial need. The application process involves downloading and filling out the application form, providing necessary documentation such as a certified ID, matric certificate, academic records, and proof of registration. Eligible students are encouraged to apply through the online application provided by MPG, ensuring all documentation is complete to avoid disqualification. The closing date for applications is yet to be confirmed, so interested candidates are advised to remain vigilant and submit their applications promptly.
