Provided by:Legal Practitioners Fidelity Fund
Description
The Legal Practitioners Fidelity Fund (LPFF) Bursary is offered for the 2026 and 2027 academic years, aimed at supporting South African students pursuing Undergraduate and Postgraduate Law studies. For undergraduates, financing is available for the final two years of their LLB, specifically tailored for students in their second and third years of study. For postgraduate applicants, the bursary targets practicing attorneys or candidate attorneys looking to enhance their professional standards. The funded amount will be determined annually by the Minister of Justice, specifically covering tuition fees, and all applicants will receive written acknowledgement of their application, followed by notification regarding their application status soon after the closure date. Students must fulfill various eligibility criteria including citizenship requirements, completion of matric, requisite academic progress, and commitment to the rules outlined in the bursary application. There is a mandatory documentation requirement for both undergraduate and postgraduate applicants, with clear guidelines provided for the necessary supporting materials. The application process requires detailed submission of forms either through post or hand delivery, with a strict closing date of August 15, 2025, at 12:00. Queries can be directed to Shawn Africa, the bursary coordinator, who can be contacted via phone or email if applicants have any questions regarding the bursary program.
