Description
The IVANPLATS Bursary is an initiative by Ivanplats, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, aimed at providing financial assistance to students residing in local communities surrounding the Ivanplats Platreef mine in Limpopo province. The bursary supports students pursuing undergraduate qualifications in fields such as Engineering, Environmental studies, Geology, Mine Survey, and Mining. This financial aid covers a maximum of four years, enabling students to complete their studies. Applicants must be South African citizens, Historically Disadvantaged South Africans, and must meet several eligibility requirements, including completion of Matric and acceptance at a recognized university in South Africa. The online application process requires candidates to submit a variety of supporting documents, including certified copies of their ID, Matric certificate, and academic records. The closing date for applications is 15 August 2025, and interested candidates should ensure that all documentation is complete to avoid disqualification. Successful candidates will be contacted within 14 days after the closing date.

- Pass the relevant medical fitness examination
- Prepared to work underground and on surface for mining-related qualifications
