Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Must have completed Matric or be currently in Matric
  • Must intend on studying or be in the 1st year of full-time study towards an undergraduate degree in the listed fields
  • Must be studying or intend on studying at a recognised public university in South Africa
  • Minimum 70% for Mathematics in Matric
  • Minimum 70% for English FAL or 65% for English HL in Matric
  • Minimum 60% for all other subjects in Matric
  • Minimum overall average of 60% for first semester examination if currently studying at university
  • Actuarial Science applicants must be in their first year of study (unless studying towards a Business Science degree at UCT)

  • 2025 mid-year (first semester) results or a progress report
  • Matric certificate (if completed Matric)
  • Proof of parents' or guardians' household income
  • Parents' death certificates if deceased
  • Divorce certificate if parents are divorced or sworn statement from one parent if parents are separated
