Description
Implats, one of the foremost producers of platinum and related metals globally, offers the Implats Bursary for the 2026 academic year. This initiative seeks to assist students pursuing studies in fields such as Accounting, Engineering, Geology, Nursing, and more. The bursary covers essential expenses like registration and tuition fees, accommodation, a computer allowance starting from the second year, and a cash allowance. Successful candidates will not only receive financial support but will also be required to engage in vacation work at Impala Platinum annually and work for the company post-graduation for a duration commensurate with the funding received. To be eligible for this bursary, applicants must be South African citizens, either currently enrolled in Grade 12 or have completed their Matric, and must meet minimum academic standards, including a threshold of 60% in English, Science, and Mathematics. A comprehensive application form, supplemented by required documentation, must be submitted via post by the deadline of September 30, 2025. Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a South African citizen
- Currently in Matric or have completed Matric
- Studying or intend on studying towards a qualification within one of the fields of study listed
- Received university exemption
- Achieved a minimum result of 60% for English in Matric
- Achieved a minimum result of 60% for Science in Matric
- Achieved a minimum result of 60% for Mathematics in Matric
- Students with disabilities are welcome to apply, subject to physical demands of the occupation
