Description
The Hollywood Foundation Bursary, known as the Future is Bright programme, is designed to assist South African students in furthering their education and increasing their employment prospects by bridging the gap between high school and the workforce. Established in 2021 by the Hollywood Foundation in partnership with Hollywoodbets, this bursary programme offers financial support for students pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate qualifications in various fields including Data Science, Digital Marketing, Finance & Accounting, and ICT-related disciplines. The Foundation aims to empower the youth of South Africa through education and has a significant track record of funding community projects and educational initiatives. Eligible applicants must be South African citizens, have completed or be in Matric, and maintain specific academic criteria. The bursary covers registration, tuition, textbooks, and other study-related expenses, and offers additional support through vacation work opportunities. Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must have completed or be currently in Matric
- Must study or intend to study in specified fields in 2026
- Qualification must be 12 months or longer
- Must study at a DHET registered institution
- Minimum average of 65% in Matric mid-year or final results
- Minimum 65% per subject in Matric
- Minimum overall average of 60% at tertiary level if applicable
- Maintain minimum 60% average for next funding application
- Must not be receiving other bursaries that require service upon completion
- Must agree to the Terms and Conditions of the bursary
