Description

The Capitec Bursary for 2026 offers students the opportunity to apply for financial support in the fields crucial to the future of banking and financial services. Established by Capitec Bank, which has grown to become a leader in retail banking in South Africa since its inception in 2001, the bursary covers costs essential for students pursuing undergraduate or honours degrees in various fields including Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Digital Marketing, Economics, Finance, Information Systems, Information Technology, Mathematics, Quantitative Management, and Statistics. This financial assistance includes covering registration fees, tuition fees, textbooks, accommodation, and stipends. Bursaries are awarded for one year but can be renewed based on academic performance and the available budget. Once graduates have completed their studies, they will be required to work for Capitec for a duration equal to the period of funding received. Candidates will undergo a selection process that includes screening, interviews, and assessments. To be eligible, applicants must be South African citizens, currently enrolled in or have completed Matric, and must meet specific academic requirements, including a minimum average of 65%. The application process is entirely online, and candidates must provide various supporting documents to strengthen their applications. The closing date for submissions is set for July 31, 2025.
