The BBD Bursary South Africa for the academic year 2025-2026 is designed to support students pursuing qualifications in the rapidly evolving fields of technology and software engineering. Founded by a dynamic trio of developers, BBD has a rich history of over 30 years in providing software solutions and services, catering to prestigious clients like banks and telecommunications firms. The Bursary & Beyond Programme specifically invites applications from students targeting degrees such as BSc, BEng, BCom, or BIS at various levels including Bachelors, Honours, Masters, and Doctorate. The bursary covers university tuition fees and offers a monthly allowance for living expenses, in addition to mentorship opportunities. Bursary recipients are also required to attend an onsite workshop annually, fostering community and collaboration among aspiring developers. Moreover, students will become part of the BBD Graduate Programme post-graduation, allowing them to work on real project teams. To be eligible, applicants must be South African citizens and meet specific academic requirements, including achieving a minimum overall average of 70% or 65%. - Studying or accepted to study towards a qualification within the fields listed
- Studying or accepted to study at a recognized and accredited University in South Africa
- Achieved a minimum overall average of 70% in Matric, if currently in Matric
- Achieved a minimum overall average of 65% for tertiary studies, if currently studying
- Must be passionate about technology and software development
