The Amandla Omoya Trust provides a community bursary programme aimed at supporting students within a 50 km radius of the Jeffreys Bay Wind Farm. Established in 2012, the Trust focuses on enhancing social cohesion and building resilience in the local communities surrounding Jeffreys Bay. In 2026, eligible students can apply for bursaries covering any field of study, provided they meet specific requirements. This initiative is designed for individuals pursuing higher education at recognized institutions in South Africa, including universities and TVET colleges, and aims to assist those demonstrating financial need. Selected applicants will benefit from comprehensive coverage for tuition, accommodation, and study materials. Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a South African citizen
- Reside within a 50km radius of the Jeffreys Bay Wind Farm
- Currently in Matric or have completed Matric
- Studying or intend to study towards a Degree, National Diploma or NQF level 6 technical and vocational education programme
- Accepted to study at any recognised public or private tertiary education or training institution in South Africa
- In financial need

- Proof of residential address
