AFHCO Bursary 2025
Provided by:AFHCO (African Housing Company)
Description
The AFHCO Bursary Programme is an initiative aimed at assisting AFHCO residents in pursuing educational qualifications in any field that meets South African Qualification Authority (SAQA) standards at accredited institutions. With a total funding value of R50 000 awarded to selected candidates, the bursary aims to alleviate the financial burden on students and encourage further education within the community. This opportunity is specifically available for current AFHCO tenants or their dependents, ensuring that support is directed towards those within the AFHCO housing ecosystem. Interested applicants must meet specific eligibility criteria, including being a South African citizen, either currently in or having completed Matric, and should aim to enroll in a program that spans at least twelve months. The selection of bursary recipients will occur in February 2025, with the winners being chosen through an audited random selection process, ensuring fairness and transparency. To apply, students must download a specified application form, provide a variety of supporting documents, and adhere to a strict submission deadline of 28th February 2025, at 17:00. Late applications will not be considered. Additionally, applicants must consent to and adhere to the terms and conditions of the bursary, including a requirement to provide proof of identity and residence. The bursary’s terms clearly state that winners must claim their awards in a timely manner, or risk forfeiting their funding. By supporting the educational pursuits of its residents, AFHCO reinforces its commitment to community development and empowerment.
