ACT Nyoloha Scholarship
Provided by:Arts & Culture Trust (ACT)
Description
The ACT Nyoloha Scholarship Programme, facilitated by the Arts & Culture Trust (ACT) in collaboration with Nedbank Arts Affinity, aims to support young South Africans pursuing higher education in the arts. Since its establishment in 1994, ACT has been dedicated to fostering growth within the arts and culture sector across South Africa. For the 2026 academic year, the Nyoloha Scholarship will be awarded to students engaging in undergraduate studies in various fields, particularly Performing Arts—encompassing singing, dancing, and acting—and Digital/Visual Arts. This full scholarship can cover up to R300,000 for tuition and associated costs at an accredited South African institution. Successful applicants will not only receive financial aid but also participate in workshops and events designed to enhance their skills and showcase their talents. The programme includes a structured schedule of bi-weekly workshops running from June to August 2025, culminating in a finals week in Johannesburg during which winners will be awarded at a Gala Night. In order to apply, candidates must meet specific eligibility criteria, including age limits, citizenship, and a demonstrated need for financial support. Key documents for application include an ID document, academic records, and video auditions or portfolio submissions, detailed guidelines of which are provided to give candidates the best chance of success. The application deadline for this opportunity is April 13, 2025, and interested individuals are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
